Hide-a-Pod
Jul 15th

London is one of the best place… if you want to steal an iPod: as average, every train in the tube has 10 iPods inside. And other 5 are inside any bus.
But, because of this, the number of pod-snatching is very very high, and you can see in every station (particularly in Camden Town
) ads suggesting to “take care of your belongings”, a lot of them dedicated to the Pod of Jobs.
But now, there is a solution: and it comes from the smallest (LOL) competitor of iPod: The MS Zune!!! It is called Hide-a-Pod!!!
Ring or Fart?

Title: TootTone
Abstract: Turns the fart into mobilephone ringtones, very useful.
Thanks to Lelly for the suggestion.
ROTFL!!!
World Time Clock
Mar 1st

The description from MoMA Store:
This barrel-shaped desk clock has 12 sides, each with the name of two major cities. Altogether, the 24 cities represent the 24 Global Time Zones. To find the local time in another time zone, simply roll the clock so the city representing that time zone is on top. A great gift for business travelers and globetrotters.
Author of this interesting gadget is Charlotte van der Waals, Dutch Industrial Designer. And, she seems to be very “clock addicted”, looking at another gallery of products from her: in particular, it seems that she loves to make “world universal clocks”.
Prices? $74.00 if you are not a member of the MoMA Store, $66.60 for members.

Virtualization? Why not?
Feb 2nd

… because the M$'s mormons think to squeeze money from consumers also from this. I’m reading on TUAW that:
… This means that if you want to run Vista on Parallels, and want to keep within the terms of the EULA, you’ll need to buy either the Business or Ultimate versions, whose EULAs allow for virtualized use…
M$ wants to control also the “environment” where Vista runs, not only what runs INSIDE Vista. Does it sound like… Mafia? Where is our freedom to install the buyed system ANYWHERE WE WANT TO?
And, if someone says: “And what do you think about Mac OS X that runs ONLY on a Mac?”. Ok, right. They are very different kinds of Operating System. Mac OS X is made to work in this way ONLY (on a Mac). Vista is made to work wherever the customer want. But, with this EULA, things are changing…

[…] the Linux kernel community is offering all companies free Linux driver developmentAll that is needed is some kind of specification that describes how your device works, or the email address of an engineer that is willing to answer questions every once in a while. […] In return, you will receive a complete and working Linux driver that is added to the main Linux kernel source tree
Inutile che mi dilunghi, lui ha già scritto abbastanza e in maniera esauriente. Vi rimando al suo blog.
